Gentle method for the mounting of rolling bearings
Around 5 percent of all bearing damage can be attributed to incorrect mounting methods or tools. Damage caused by improper mounting becomes apparent, for example, in the form of unusual noises, irregular running, rolling element indentations (scrape marks) or breaks. As a result, the highest precision must be ensured during mounting. Maintenance is also subject to further requirements, including lower energy consumption, minimized risk of injury, and reduced maintenance costs. A gentle and safe method of mounting rolling bearings and other workpieces is achieved by means of induction heating, which ensures that the rolling bearings and other workpieces are always prepared and mounted at the ideal temperature for technically correct installation.
Schaeffler uses the HEATER-BASIC and HEATER-SMART to fulfill this requirement. Both series cater specifically for the different application requirements encountered in maintenance.
